On January 22, 2007, Senator Tiny Kox, Netherlands, was
elected President of UEL, of which Group he has been a member
since September 22, 2003.
In
2007 he
succeeded Mats Einarsson, MP of the Swedish Left Party.
Since 2003 he is a member of
the Dutch Senate (First Chamber States General), where he
chairs the Group of the Socialist Party.
He is a member of the SP's
National Executive. From 1994 - 2003 he was SP's General
Secretary.
On January 24, 2011 he was
elected vice-President of PACE. Tiny Kox is married and has
two adult sons.
